Marque Engineering was thrilled to participate in the engineering of the new JD Sports (formerly Finish Line) flagship location in 2020! This brand-new location is in the heart of New York City: Times Square.

Marque Engineering was responsible for a full scope tenant improvement of the MEP systems. Specifically, Marque utilized high-efficiency HVAC systems with a new cooling tower, boiler, chillers, and pump serving the water source heat pumps throughout the 4 floors of tenant space.

In addition to a full electrical upgrade, there was also intensive coordination with digital display and video vendors to coordinate the power and data requirements for the hundreds of digital displays displayed throughout the space and on the exterior of the building.

The store, which is connected to the historic Knickerbocker Hotel, has two levels and over 32,000 sq. ft. of retail space.

The first floor is focused on showcasing the latest athletic wear for trainers and athletes. Prominent brands include Nike, Jordan, Adidas, New Balance, ASICS, PUMA, Vans, Converse, and many more. The second floor is all about comfortable clothing and trendy fits. This includes apparel for “making a statement, sofa days, or hitting the streets in the latest looks.”
