Spooky Nook to Be Completed in 2022

03 Jan, 2022

Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill is a $165 million redevelopment project in Hamilton, Ohio which will turn an old paper mill into a 1 million square foot sports and entertainment complex.

The project, which is in downtown Hamilton along the west shore of the Great Miami River,  will result in a sports, entertainment, and event complex that will attract around a million people each year to the city.

Marque Engineering is honored to have been involved in this massive project’s engineering and design for over 2 years in counting. The construction value of the project is expected to be around $80 million.

The complex will be composed of two “Mills.” The first mill will be home to all the sports facilities, including courts and fields for soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, field hockey, and more. The second mill will include a 225-room hotel, convention center, and meeting spaces.

The convention space will be Greater Cincinnati’s second-largest convention space, second only to Cincinnati’s Duke Energy Convention Center located in downtown Cincinnati.

The complex will also include restaurants, a brewery, and other entertainment venues.

Once completed, Spooky Nook Sports at Champion Mill will be the second-largest convention center space in the Tristate area and the largest indoor sports complex in North America. The complex is projected to be completed sometime in 2022.
