Marque Engineering is pleased to be a part of another groundbreaking project. Camp Cedar is a brand-new luxury campground. It will be managed and licensed by Kings Island through a unique partnership.

This project has made local and national headlines since its inception. Opening in 2021, this project has an overall construction value of $27 million. The campground is expected to contribute around $400,000 a year to the local economy.

Marque Engineering designed electrical and mechanical engineering throughout the entire 50-acre site. The electrical engineering included electrical distribution engineering for all 183 full hook-up RV sites and 73 cabins throughout the site. Over 10 miles of cable were buried to power the RV sites and Cottages. Mechanical and Electrical engineering services were provided for the grand lodge—including electrical distribution and HVAC systems. Marque also provided site lighting design and photometry.

The Camp Cedar site will include 73 cabins, 164 RV parking spots, and a Grand Lodge. The cabins will not be the traditional camping cabins as they will have a full-size kitchen and bathrooms. These cabins have been compared to HGTV’s “Tiny Houses.”

The Grand Lodge will be the central area of the campground, which will have a restaurant, bar, gift shop, and giant common area with a fireplace and couches.

Camp Cedar will provide a unique experience for guests and is just another of many offerings that Kings Island provides.
